I am delighted to take on the role of Head of School at Barton Park Primary and look forward to meeting you and your children soon.
I have worked in Education all my adult life, in both schools and the Arts. I began my teaching career in London, where I worked in Lambeth and Croydon.
For the last 6 years I have worked within the senior leadership team at St Andrew’s CE Primary School in Headington, most recently in the role of Key Stage One Leader.
I believe in child-centred learning and want to create a school where solid educational foundations and creativity go hand-in-hand, enabling all children to grow in confidence and skills.
As a mother of two I know what a central role school plays in a family’s life and I hope that our school can be at the heart of our new, developing community, creating links and enriching lives.
I look forward to the start of our journey together.
Mrs Bryony McCraw
I have been working in the Trust since June 2019 as Headteacher at Bayards Hill and through hard work and dedication we see the school go from strength to strength.
In my previous role, I opened a new Primary Free school – Lace Hill Academy – in Buckingham. As Head I worked with the new school community to develop a strong school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted under his headship.
After 4 years of successful headship I moved on to join CSAT and Bayards Hill Primary School and offer a wealth of experience in opening new and successful schools as I embark on opening Barton Park Primary School in September 2020.
Mr Gareth GriffithsExecutive Headteacher, Primary Schools
I am very excited to be teaching Reception at Barton Park Primary School and welcoming some new families to this exciting new school! I have been working with young children for many years and love being a part of their journey in to school. I have worked across the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as in Key Stage One, which has given me the opportunity to support our youngest of children as well as how to support them in their future development in order to become life-long learners. I believe that children learn best through play and I enjoy facilitating them with this and watching them get immersed in so many exciting opportunities. I think working in Early Years is great, because no day is ever the same!
I am passionate about working in Education and have completed several qualifications and courses to support my understanding of how children learn best and what adults can do to facilitate this. I enjoy putting theory in to practise to meet the individual needs of all children. I have worked in several different setting with families from many different backgrounds. This has given me a great insight into working closely with families and the community in order to support children’s learning and development.
I look forward to working closely with the families and the community of Barton Park in order to support a smooth transition in to school life.
